    Introduction

    Prior to attending day one of the TTT course, we would like you to complete the below task, which should take no longer than 20 minutes.

    You will be presented with a video of a trainee performing colonoscopy. All you are required to do is click ‘Enable camera and screen’ (and give permission when prompted). Then press Play on the video to start recording and verbalise anything you are thinking from a trainer perspective as you watch the video. When you are finished click ‘Stop Recording’, then ‘Save to WordPress site’.

    Before we begin with the task, we would like to you have a practice at thinking aloud whilst watching the following short clip.

    It is very important that you verbalise what you are thinking whilst watching the trainee:

    Remember you are in the shoes of the trainer, the trainee cannot hear you, we are interested in what you are thinking as you watch the trainee. 

    What do I need to do?

    Now we would like you to have a go at verbalising your thoughts out loud whilst watching the following procedure.  

    Remember: Please put yourself in your role as a trainer and imagine that those conducting the procedure within the video are your trainee’s.  

    Try and Think Aloud everything that comes to mind whilst you are watching the video. 

    Consider what you are seeing and what type of feedback you would be giving if you were in the room with the trainee.
